Izer

IZER pH-Neutral Iron Remover

IZER is a pH-neutral iron-contamination remover designed to dissolve oxidized brake dust and ferrous particles from vehicle surfaces.

It removes iron contamination from wheels, paint and other exterior areas. It also helps remove rust spots from chrome and oxidation from metal components in the engine compartment.

Key features

• Neutral-pH formula
• Removes iron contamination and oxidation
• Dissolves oxidized brake dust
• Helps remove rust spots
• Safe for several wheel finishes when used as directed
• Color-changing reaction identifies iron contamination

Recommended surfaces

• Automotive paint
• Chrome
• Alloy wheels
• Gloss-black wheels
• Chrome-plated steel wheels
• Bicycle wheels
• Exterior vehicle surfaces
• Metal engine components

Do not use on

• Galvanized or zinc-coated surfaces
• Hot surfaces
• Surfaces exposed to direct sunlight
• Food-preparation equipment

Directions

1. Make sure the surface is cool.
2. Spray a small amount of IZER onto the contaminated area.
3. Allow it to work for 2–3 minutes.
4. Watch for the product to turn purple or become darker. This indicates a reaction with iron contamination.
5. Agitate evenly using a wheel-well brush, detailing brush or microfiber mitt.
6. Rinse thoroughly, preferably with a pressure washer.
7. Repeat the application if contamination is severe.

Dilution

• General use: Ready to use
• Paint decontamination: May be diluted up to 1:1

Vonixx notes that using IZER does not replace mechanical paint decontamination with V-Bar clay and V-Lub lubricant when that process is needed.

Important notes

• No color change generally indicates that iron contamination is not present.
• On ordinary unprotected iron, IZER can remove rust, but the treated area will require protection afterward.
• The product has a characteristically strong odor.
• Do not allow it to dry on the surface.

Available sizes

• 500 mL
• 1.5 L
• 3 L
