Description
Opty is a corrective polishing compound formulated exclusively for glass. It removes or reduces light scratches, windshield-wiper marks, water spots, acid-rain deposits, cloudiness, and other superficial defects while restoring clarity.

Machine application

Shake the bottle thoroughly.

Carefully inspect the glass. Do not polish glass with cracks, chips, or deep stone damage.

Clean and decontaminate the glass—Vonixx recommends Prizm.

Apply Opty directly to a felt, carpet, canvas, or denim polishing pad.

Polish using overlapping crosshatch passes with a rotary polisher at 1,200–1,600 RPM.

Monitor the glass temperature and keep it between 55–65°C (131–149°F).

Mist water onto the polishing pad as needed for lubrication—never spray water directly onto the hot glass.

Inspect the results and repeat if required.
Important precautions

Do not polish damaged or cracked glass.

Do not touch the glass while polishing to check its temperature; use an appropriate temperature-measuring device.

Never spray water directly onto hot glass because thermal shock may cause cracking.

Keep the pad flat; tilting it may create uneven polishing marks.

Deeper scratches may require professional glass sanding before polishing.

Opty does not leave a protective coating. Vonixx recommends Glazy afterward for water-repellent protection.
